The Terminal included domestic and international ticketing, departure and arrival gates, aircraft apron and taxiways, domestic and international baggage claim, interior renovation of airport administrative facilities and new offices for the Broward County Aviation Department. The project was constructed in phases based on airport constraints, facility design and aircraft gate demand. Phasing was developed to minimize disruption to existing airport operations.
