The New Broward County Courthouse

The project includes 714,000 square feet and 20 stories of new office space featuring 77 courtrooms with additional space for expansion. The additions have improved the flow for visitors and courthouse agency employees and improved security screening areas. The new courthouse accommodates the need for civil and family courts. The conceptual footprint consists of 45 full-size courtrooms, 12 smaller courtrooms, and 18 hearing rooms for a total of 75 litigation spaces. Below the building is secured parking for approximately 120 judges and department heads. The Hammond team provided Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Construction services. This is a Silver LEED Certified Building.
